  Hope you are all well!! This Friday, Milonga "Lo de Laura"!!!!!!! at the Dance Institute 9PM- 1AM! 
  It will be Anso and Josh's last weekend in Austin so please come out and help us give them a warm good-bye! 
  If you need further encouragement (ladies), I will have in my possession, the latest Comme Il Faut shoe purchases: 
  40 pair, hand selected in sizes ranging from 4-11.

  Lastly, don't forget, next weekend Damian Lobato will be here in town (9th and 10th) to give a workshop with me. 
  It will be an intermediate+ workshop covering all of your favorite subjects:

  Saturday, May 9:
  Sacadas: Leading the ladies and back sacadas for men and women
  Ganchos: a plethora of places to gancho
  Boleos: Tried and true and BEYOND!

  Sunday May 10:
  Colgadas: (single axis turns)
  Volcadas: Big and Small
  Combinations

  Here is the deal guys: In the interest of making the most of the workshop for those in attendance people are encouraged to, 
  1) come with a partner and 2) Come for the WHOLE workshop!
  So: Classes a la carte will be $25/class. However, if you sign up for the whole workshop it will be $100 for all 6 classes. 
  Additionally anybody signing up WITH a PARTNER, gets a further discount  2 for $180. ($90 a piece). 
  Student price $12.50/class or $50/the whole enchilada.

  ***The final combination class will only be available to those attending the whole workshop.

  Juan Carlos and Alicia Suarez are in town, moving from Houston. I think you might have seen them at Esquina, 
  where they were introduced by Mónica. Anyway, they are going to have some classes and Alicia Suarez sent me the info.

  1:00-4:00pm Introduction of New Salón-Style Tango Instructors in Austin
  Traditional, Argentine Tango Classes (beginner-intermediate) with Juan Carlos & Alicia Suarez
    
  What: Salón Style (close embrace)
  Who: Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Juan & Alicia are life time dancers of the Tango. 
  They arrived in New York in 1966 and in 1978 moved to Houston, Texas where, like in New York, 
  became members of the "Argentinian House" and created Houston's largest Argentine Tango community of dancers. 
  Now that they are in Austin, you too can learn their traditional salon style of Argentine Tango! 
    
  When:
  1:00pm Beginner Basics
  2:00pm Intermediate
  3:00pm Double Cross & Virulazo Step & Styling (for the intermediate dancer)

  A few of you asked for this information ....

  Saturday May 2: in San Antonio

  2 hours Leaders and Followers technique class with Anne-Sophie and Josh!

  3-5pm  $20/person check or cash. No reservation or partner needed.

  They will share with you all the tips and tricks that will make you 
  amazing leaders and followers... and not only while dancing! 

  Anne-Sophie will work with the followers to refine the understanding of 
  the body to create the perfect follow....We will work on pretty feet, 
  elegant posture and connected movements. Wear comfortable clothes and 
  bring socks and dancing shoes.

  During this time Josh will work with the leaders to create a clear 
  understanding of the lead, what's creating it and how it's translated 
  for the followers.  He will work on Creating Disassociation for pivots 
  (his and hers);  embrace and connection

  For the last part of the class, they'll work on incorporating the 
  techniques we learned into the embrace.

  Milonga 9pm-Midnight $5 cover - DJ'd Romantic and Rhythmic Tango, 
  Milonga, Vals and Alternative music by Terry

  Class and Milonga Location:  ZenMonsters Studio, 2813 Hillcrest Dr, San 
  Antonio, TX 78201. Located just off Loop 410, near the Medical Center. 
  Exit Loop 410 at Babcock, go south (inside the loop) less than 1 mile, 
  turn in the mall with the yellow Dollar General sign, on the left side 
  just before Hillcrest Drive. Our door is next to the Massage Spa. There 
  is no sign on the door.
